Q: will the 8.5 t work with 60amp esc on 3s in wltoys 124017 version 2 or should I get 10.5 t ?

BG415201517 yes you can take the plastic spur off and change it to mod 1 gearing,I used a 25t pinion for the spur. this will give you a lot of gearing options

BG415201517 yes as long as you are running two 2s battery making 4s then the mah doesn't matter. The mah is just your run time,the higher the mah the longer it runs for ,it does not effect the speed ,power or the electronics. I.e a 2s 2200mah is the same volts as a 2s 5000mah but you will get a lot longer running time from the 5000mah the esc will handle 4s which is 14.8 volts so as long as you don't go above 4s there are no problems it can handle 2s 7000mah if you want, but remember the more mah then the bigger the battery so it needs to be able to fit so you may have to make some adjustments to get the batteries in

BG415201517 except it's 1/12 my friend. that's what the 12 in the 124016 stands for. the first numbers give the scale so the 104001 is 1/10th and the 144001 is 1/14th scale etc etc
BG415201517 the red light is solid when charging and goes out once it's fully charged,about 2hrs

BG415201517 it is brushless and comes with 19t so i don't get what you mean as the original brushed version was 27t and the brushless version 1 came with 27t if you run the same motor with a 2200mah or a 2600mah it makes no difference to the speed as they are both 2s. it's the s that makes the speed difference, I.e 3s is faster than 2s 2600mah will be a longer running time than 2200mah they more mah the longer the battery runs for
