noonerbernerd Youdo realise the "egg shaped" ring is actually SUPPOSED to be like that? You clip the collet in to the ring and it sits pretty flush with the locking nut when tightened properly. Looking at your pictures you are not using it right and it's no wonder why you're getting eccentricity. The extractor ring is eccentric to give you a portal to remove the collet when finished.

I get it, you get what you pay for. But this is collet chuck isn't simply low quality, but actually unusable. The nut has an egg shaped ring out of axis, 6mm thick. The taped shoulder has some deep machining scratches because of the egg shaped milling cut. The collet taped surface is wavey and absolutely not finished. I tried putting a collet inside and it won't even close! The collet won't sit flush inside of it and it wobbles against the taper. Fixing this will cost way more than what this chuck is worth. Not recommended.

seems to be cobbled together out of whatever warm white strips they had laying around. definite colour temperature changes on some sections.
