Flyingspanner can you extend desktop at lower resolution say 1080p?

A nice adapter supporting MiraCast and AirPlay. Supposedly it supports 4K. Well it can certainly give a 4K 30Hz signal to the TV - however - at least over MiraCast you're limited to 1080p resulotion from computer even though MiraCast protokol do support up to 4K (my computer can stream 2580x1440 to MiraCasts supporting 4K so it's not my computer that is the limiting factor). Also MiraCast seems limited to 2,4 GHz band too but I'm unsure if MiraCast specifications allow 5 GHz. Using the EZMira application (custom protokol?) to cast is fast and much easier but then you're limited to mirroring your main monitor. You can't use it as an extended monitor as when using MiraCast. Since my main monitor is FHD (and secondary 1680x1050) I can't verify whether or not it supports 4K over EZMira and mirroring a monitor is not what I want when using computer to play media on TV. So it's not the great wireless display adapter it should be. Don't get me wrong it's fine for the price. But to be honest my (by computer standards very) old Netgear PTV3000 works better if MiraCast alone is what you're after. The Mirascreen G5 do have noticeably lower latency but videos are actually playing smoother on the old PTV3000 when a lot of details and fast movement is going on.
