Freshmint Yeah, you can totally put your own receiver in. just remember to replace the servo and esc too as these are combo receivers and use a non standard 5 wire servo.

Freshmint yes, did you not see the fy03 markings on the polystyrene protection inside the box? I was excited and almost missed it but jjrc actually make the car as far as I can find.
