cheech I have similar issue with the lights turning off automatically every few minutes when riding and this is not on the light sensor mode. When this happens, the light needs to be manually turn on again. I agree that this power saving feature has become an annoying bug while riding at night. This can be quite hazardous to the riders and other road users at night when the light turns off suddenly on roads or tracks that have vehicles or pedestrians.

In my case the internal shock sensor (a tiny spring-shaped conductor around a spike on the PCB) is very insensitive: the lamp turns off every three minutes while cycling, only switches back on to a very strong tapping. Maybe the sensor should be short circuited, because in this state the auto power off (or autostart) function is a bug, not a feature. More detailed technical info: the main led current

cheech Another user has similar issue with the light turning off automatically. Please refer to review by hg2edb, dated: 2017-07-12, 12:06:56. Reviewer hg2edb said it's due to internal spring sensor that's not sensitive enough to detect motion when riding and this causes the light to turn off on its own after 3 minutes. This power saving feature has turned into an annoying bug because rider has to turn on the light every 3 minutes while riding.

Not sure if it is a bug but the light switches off automatically while riding when it is not on sensor mode. Nonetheless, built quality is good and light is spread out wide providing good illumination during night cycling.
