kubakocoj Curious why they wired it in parallel instead of series. 7.4 volts boosted to 9 volts would have better conversion efficiency than 3.7-to-9, I suppose. And watt-hour capacity stays the same. Maybe it's because series wiring would require some extra balancing circuit. Anyway, very interesting product. And thanks for helpful review.

This has similar capacity like a non-rechargable alkaline. The 400mA on the label is what can be discharged. The internal LiPos are 2x500mAh in parallel, This shows when charging from USB. The internal 3.8V are boosted to constant 9.4V until the cells are depleted, so no indication of remaining charge. From 5 pcs ordered, one arrived dead, but was easy to fix, badly soldered wire came lose. While doing

This is a great little power supply. You'll need a 24v AC transformer for power. I put the whole thing is one of the project cases available from this site. I also added a large heatsink and a volt/amp meter, also from this site. Great project although by the time you add up all the bits and pieces you could almost buy a bench power supply. But it's the fun of building the project!!!
