Pentlandsandy It draws around 1.5 amps at 5.1 volts, so just over 7.5 watts. It is very effective. The current drain is the same for the lower settings, but it pulses on and off giving lower heat and longer run times.

Q: this vest does not have a standaard USB connector. what is it? which battery should I buy so the connector fits?

Pentlandsandy ?? Yes it does! It has a standard male USB plug to plug into a standard usb socket. If you are trying to plug it into a remote usb socket (mains, car, etc) you will need a male to female usb extension lead. It is designed to plug straight into a usb power pack that is rated at 2 amps or above.
