For this Programmer the ESP-Module has to be placed outwards. For me the standard DTR/CTS control for programming is not working using Arduino IDE! First of all I had to solder a pullup resistor between VCC and the CD_PD pin. To put the ESP-01 in programming mode GPIO has to be pulled to ground (soldered a jumper to the pin) followed by pressing the Reset button. For Nral opreation the Jumper should be removed again.
