I am a little disappointed about this light. The light has an orange-peel reflector (it doesn't work well with a smooth reflector, I tested it and got a significantly dimmed center). The throw is much less than my XHP50.2, SST40 and SBT90.2 FT03s. The lumen output seems to be much lower than the claimed 9300lm - I think the required current for 9300lm is limited by the batteries (I tested with Shokli 20/30A 5500mAh and Keeppower 20/25A 6000mAh) and the internal and FET resistances. I already bypassed the springs and changed the LED wiring with AWG18 wires with minimal success. Don't get it wrong: It is a nice light. But in this size there should be a little more throw. Much lumens can also be produced by smaller lights with some emitters. It is more expensive than the XHP50.2 version, and I prefer the XHP50.2 one.

CaptnKnuspa Thanksfor the recommendations for batteries. Now I use samsung 40T (and also replaced the driver FET with a lower RDSon type) but still I'm not 100% happy with it. I can't measure the lumens, but I think I don't get even close to the 9300 lumens.

Q: This SFH55 Led is insatiable for a Flashlight with only 1 Battery, You must first use 3 pieces of Samsung 40T batteries in parallel before you can burn this heavy LED at full power, So a Flashlight that can only hold 1 Battery is worthless for this véry heavy LED !!

Q: How is the configuration of this motor mount with 380 size motor? How many teeth with 380 motor combined with the standard gearing of the 144001? And what module to use? I ask, because I want to build a low power setup for a young child. Thank You!

Gugman You would probably need a 13T pinion gear as the mount can fit the motor but has no room for adjustment. You could just get the WLtoys A959 that only does 40kmh and save time with trying to change the 144001. If that is to fast the A959A model only does about 25 to 30kmh where the A959B models do 60kmh like the 144001. They all have the same parts and spares that are exactly the same available as it is only their motors that are different size.

Nice NM1 Flashlight with very good throw for its size. There are some quality issues: The LED is not completely flat soldered to the PCB, the amount of thermal paste is not enough, the reflector comes de-centered when you thighten the bezel firmly, the screws of the LED PCB are not tightened. It has 8x 7135 driver (~2,8A) and is easy moddable to 12x 7135 with a bit of soldering skill for some extra lumens.

These tires/wheels fit surprisingly well on my SCX10. The plasic of the wheels is "compatible" to spray-paint. Nice... The tires could be softer for crawling, but they are ok...

Great little EDC flashlight. Why only 4 stars? I received mine with a dented reflector - this is not a problem for the performance but might be a problem for the "waterproofness". The charge indicator is a slowly pulsing light for charging and a constant blue light for completed charging. It is hard to distinguish.

Very nice torch. It has no 2000 lumens, because the LED (yes, it is a XHP35HI) runs at max. 1,25A. This means approx. 1700 lumens without substracting losses of reflector and glass. It is quite easy to reach and modify the driver. "On stock" there is a 1206 type 25 mohms (0R025) shunt that can be easily bypassed with a 1206 100 mohms (for approx 1,65A / 2100 lumens) or a 1206 50 mohms (for approx 2,1A / 2400 lumens). Both mods work fine, but more power means more heat and lower runtime. I prefer the ramping mode, but I would prefer a more logarhitmic characteristic.

Q: Does it start on Low Light as showed on "5 Lighting Modes Memory Function" picture? Or does it start on High Light?

CaptnKnuspa My XD-FL7 starts on high. The modes are "high->med->low->strobe->SOS->off". The "med" mode is more like "semi-high" and the "low" is like "medium". You have to go through all the modes to switch it off!

This could be the perfect torch - but it has a really annoying corona around the hotspot. Maybe the reflector design doesn't fit the XHP50.2...
