Very high end miter gauge and accessories as shown in Bangood's descriptions. Craftmanship is impressive almost making it too nice to use. The shipment took a long time to arrive but was very well worth waiting for. Packaging for individual items is commendable. One area in packaging that should be addressed is the box joint jig prongs that pierce the box. In this shipment the prongs pierced the box but they were not damaged. (In a previous order they were damaged.) I definitely recommend this impressive tool! Thank you Bangood!

Q: What does the red hat do? Does it have any function or just for grip?

BG515516131 Ibelieve it is just a way to put less pressure on your thumb when depressing the punch. After using the punch without it, I am now sorry that I did not purchase the hat.

Very nice weight and feel. One can get a good grip because of the grooves in the body of the punch. The spring load provides a nice indentation into the wood. For newcomers I would suggest being careful when looking at the pictures provided with the products. By that I mean this product shows a picture with the red hat and without it. You must pick the right option In order to get the red hat otherwise you just receive just the punch. (There is a slight difference in price.) The product was received within 14 days ... much sooner than projected.
