Q: Can it be used as a flip stop on an Festool MFT3 table?

BG155047514 Look at the dimensions to see if the top section will align with the track and not protrude forwards. I had to modify mine to suit 20mm wide v slot which had the top section sitting forward of the v slot. Was my fault for thinking it’d work ok. Also had to modify the nut to fit into the v slot. Cross check the mft3 dimensions b4 buying to save you wasting money or modifying the stop. Hope this helps

BG155047514 You can still use it without rewiring the plug. The trigger switch isn’t integral to its use. Just mount the trimmer and use the on-off switch on that to operate the machine. I bought it just to see what it’s like because it’ll cut a mortise easily and doesn’t cost much when compared to a festool domino; less than 10% the cost of a domino!

Q: Is the sleeve that holds the router aluminum? Is the standard plug US 110v?

BG155047514 Yes the mounting sleeve is Aluminium. Mine came with an American plug. Not sure on voltage because nothing is labelled and there’s no instructions. I’m in Australia, so I’ll be using it without the trigger switch, or I’ll just buy Australian adapters.

BG155047514 Yes. All reels can be used for saltwater. Just rinse it really well in fresh water after use and let it dry properly and it’ll kart you ages.
