JLG Itwill work as long as the device is formatted with a ps4 compatible file system, for all intents and purposes this is an external HD USB, and therefore, it only differs from the rest in its internal composition and in its speed greater than the mechanical or the Standard SSD.

laricil Hi, if you are concered at all about Led life expectancy then, as with ALL Leds you will be better off limiting the current rather than fixing a voltage. The on strip resistances will limit current to a certain extent but unfortunately will produce heat thereby changing strip temperature. Led voltage drop will depend a great deal on local temperature so current control is advisable. See: Item ID: 1377153 or similar wired in between PSU and Led strip with a higher voltage supply so that module can work properly. The higher the ambient temperature the lower the current you should use to get max life from Leds. I haven't tested these yet so I can not supply suggested current for given ranges of ambient temperatures. Like most Bggd products it's a question of "suck-it-and-see" (or wait until someone with experience gives a useful informed review).
