desgorra There is a serious fault in the design, not understood by the answer given. When power is removed from the module - NOT when the ON-OFF button is used - the module always powers up with FULL VOLUME selected. While the module correctly remembers the volume setting when the ON-OFF button, it LOSES ALL SETTINGS when power is removed, which happens every time the power supply feeding it is powered down, and this happens every time the main amplifier (from which its power is derived) is turned off. Why any designer would default to FULL VOLUME on power loss (without an option for minimum volume) is so stupid it's hard to believe it wasn't sheer incompetence.
