davidanorthrup Imust be tied to a battery bank and an invert to power an ac florenct lamp. It can feed the DC batteries and have a dc current lamp off the batteries with out the inverter. If you have a frind that has some electrical know how they can enxplain the two currents to you and pick what works. Its a rewarding hobby and GREEN is where its at these days. Hope this helps.
