Q: Mine did not have a clear case as shown in the photos. Why is this?

Q: Does this type of kit come with a UK type of plug to power it? instead of the EU type?

ADE I cut it off and put my own on. The cable rating is 6amp so I put a 5amp fuse in. I also put insulating tape over the metal screws which hold the transformer to the plexi case and any others around the transformer end as a precaution. Unlikely the wires will come loose once soldered and shrink wrapped but better safe than sorry.
