Q: does it run? says it a generator is that correct?

Задавает BG194632216 на 2020-09-15 17:09:12

Flyboy This is an engine, powered by external combustion. It runs on the heat 'generated' by the alcohol lamps that heat the air in the 'combustion' chambers of the engine. It does not 'generate' any electricity, or anything else, except the rotary motion of the main shaft, turning the propeller. It is in fact, a model engine, not designed, or constructed to create power to run other equipment. Rather, it is designed and built to demonstrate how a 'hot air', external combustion engine operates, by the design principal of Robert Stirling, (1790 - 1878) an inventor and clergyman of Perthshire, Scotland. A teaching engine.

Q: how to sharpen those

Задавает serge darcy на 2021-08-08 07:30:42

Flyboy Hello Darcy, Use the knives only with softer food items, i.e.; fruit, vegetables, fish, meat with no bones. Make all cuts in a straight line, the blades are a bit fragile, bending, twisting, etc., when cutting will stress the blade to the point it will crack, chip or break. Sharpening; ceramic blades present a special problem for sharpening. The blades maintain a very sharp edge, for a long time. Use a hardwood cutting board, not glass or ceramic. Learn to cut with a ceramic blade, they are quite sharp, use less pressure to make a cut. When the blade becomes a bit dull, time to sharpen. I do not recommend personal hand sharpening, the blade can be ruined. Best to find a knife-blade sharpener with ceramic blade experience. This is the safest, best way. If one is insistent on hand sharpening their ceramic blades, it is possible, results vary. Proper angle for sharpening ceramic blades is critical, 35°, 30° - 40° is the range, but each stoke should be at the ‘exact’ same angle. Sharpening media has to be harder than the blade. Only one material is sufficient, diamond powder coated sharpening pads. These are available, affordably, at any quality tool shop. Use only fine or extra fine, coarse sharpening media will damage the blade. Use light pressure to sharpen. After a couple of strokes, clean the diamond pad, rub it in the opposite direction on a soft cloth to remove the debris from the sharpening. No oil is needed, nor should be used. Ray

Q: Is it a police scanner

Задавает BG142217161 на 2020-11-05 19:19:50

Flyboy No. This is not a police or general scanner. This is a FM walkie-talkie. The range is great, 1 to 3 miles (1.6 to 3.8 KM), depending on local RF interference. The Walkie-Talkie has FM frequency (sic, channel) scanning, i.e.; if one channel becomes 'busy' the walkie-talkie will scan, find a clear frequency, then set to send & receive on the new frequency, all automatically, seamlessly to the user. It is a great walkie-talkie for a moderate price.

Q: reuse

Задавает Kottkawa на 2020-04-03 05:25:35

Flyboy Yes. Can reuse, after disinfecting. Use UV Light to disinfect, minimum time, 2 hours, 4 hours is best. Do not use any liquid to disinfect, i.e.; alcohol, chlorine bleach, disinfectant spray, etc., the liquid will cause the filter media to disintegrate. Mask will then be useless.
