This USB 3.0 2.5inch Enclosure Box Slim SATA HDD Hard Disk Case is working very good with 3.0 USB protocole. Actually I used it also on 2.0 where is also working fine. Good product that you can get for little money.

I bought it to read the old HDD from broken laptop. It looks great. Putting HDD inside is a bit tough but I finally made it. Another advantage is USB 3.0 (I was impressed by the quality of the USB 3.0 cable attached to the package). Lather case which is included is rather poor quality (this is the biggest con within this package) - I hoped it will be the additional protection but after few days first gap appeared..). Transfer from HDD is ok.

I ordered two of these. Looks fine, but finishing is not excellent but normal. The first hard drive was inserted inside the cover easily, but the second was more difficult. I used identical Seagate Hard drives, so the problem was with the cover. After using a tool for sliding the hard drive inside the cover I was able to close the cover. It is very easy to insert the Hard Drive inside the cover and it looks that the HD is sitting firmly inside the enclosure. The USB3 cable is quite short (15" or 38cm), but you can use standard USB3 A-B cable instead, if needed. This is a easy way to make internal Hard Drive as external USB3 drive. No screw driver is needed for the installation (if Hard Drive does fit as my first drive). The enclosure is made in aluminum and there is plastic rounding separating two sides of the housing. There is a blue indicator LED next to the connector to indicate operation of the drive and four rubber dampers inside the bottom of cover to make hard drive sit firmly inside the cover.

Really good enclosure. Real USB 3.0, fast read/write speeds. On average, in 3 different tests I achieved 80MB/s Read / 90MB/s write speed) with Toshiba 1TB disk inside. Really good enclosure.

This product is great. Its a TRUE USB 3.0 speed and the aluminum frame is of really good quality. I have a 650GB HDD inside it and it is working flawless (in the product description it says max 500GB). The delivery speed was a bit longer even it was sent from the UK, but i understand this because we had ester and it came after just 15 days. I just recommend shopping on this site. THANKS BANGGOOD
