I had a slightly negative experience as mine had a soldering defect under the USB connector, but after a little rework it works fine. I can confirm that the part I received has a PL2303TA chip on and is supported on Windows 10, though you might have to download the driver, I had it installed already so I can't confirm if Windows 10 auto-installs it. The part has a link to select 3.3V or 5V operation. I would strongly advise leaving this link in the 3.3V position, and if you need 5V, for example to power a "NEXTION", then take 5V from the jumper pin marked "5V", not from VCCIO. The reason is that the jumper sets the voltage going to the TXD output buffer, and the buffer is not intended to work from more than 3.3V. I've read the datasheet. Another note: TXD appears to be tri-state until the communication port is actually "opened" by an application. Not a problem, but if you're trying to diagnose a RXD/TXD cross and both pins appear to be inputs that could be the reason.
