It really detects the alcohol. I am not sure how precise the result...but since in my country there is zero tolarance I am okay with that thing. There is some issue with the battery or the battery icon because it shows half percentage and then does not turn on. I usually place in the car, so I can put it on charger immidiatle but still annoying.
