The Gemfan spinners are made of durable, lightweight CNC machined aluminum alloy. They provide superior strength over the cheap plastic spinners that come with many planes. They don’t add considerable weight. The quality is exceptional. One thing that is fantastic is how the spinner cone attaches to the propeller assembly with a short screw. It’s easy to mount unlike other options on the market. 1. If this is a direct replacement to a spinner on your plane, stick with the same size. You’ll need to measure the diameter of the spinner and match it as closely as possible. 2. The collet has to match your motor’s shaft size. There are four or five options for a collet size. Find the name of your motor and size of your motor and look up it’s specs if you’re uncertain of the shaft diameter. This is very important. 3. When installing the spinner, if it wobbles when it spins you don’t have it seated right. Unscrew the cone from the propeller assembly and try again. 4. Use Gemfan folding propellers with this spinner- They are dirt cheap and work exceptionally well. This review was posted on my Facebook group.
