This is a great little tester and every electronics bench should have one. I sold my Heathkit cap tester and replaced with this one and it's easier, faster, smaller, more accurate. Shipping time to New York was 3 weeks. The box was squashed but everything was OK inside. The mechanical layout and case needs some redesign. The pushbutton binds a little. The transistor test pad is inside the case so you can't use it, and cutting a hole to make it accessible would weaken the top. You have to disassemble it to replace the battery, but if you only use it occasionally it should last a long time. There's some cutouts below the battery that indicates some mod was in the works to make a trap door for the battery. I'm going to pursue that someday. Spacers for the 4 corners were omitted, so if you take the screws out to replace the battery the case falls apart. It might be a good idea to glue the tabs and slots together to make a 2 piece case assembly instead of 6.
