This pump uses an internally driven brushless motor to drive the impeller. The motor / electronics side of the case is encapsulated in a flexible epoxy type compound. The electronics appear to regulate the motor speed dependent upon load etc so the drive circuit is a little bit smart. In my experimentation my pump stopped working after 5 minutes and I thought this to be a honeymoon period fault. It turned out that the solar system had charged the 24V batteries to just over 27V and these pumps cut out at 27V. Something to note if you intend to run a pump on a lead acid battery system that will be charged to at least 28V. The pump moves a lot of water at reasonable pressure, more than the smaller pumps that I currently have, sorry I didn't take any pressure, flow, current, readings. The pump is sturdy and well made and looks like it should go the distance.

Very clever little pump. It goes into limp mode when there is no flow/load on impeller. When in full flow delivers an impressive jet of water that is so strong it pushes your finger away from the out port. Draws about 2Amp on a 24V supply. Very impressive performance and quality seems really durable and tough.

This is a good quality pump (better than most) made with engineering plastics that can run with hot as well as cold water. The brushless electronics provide over speed and over voltage protection (27V cutout). I don't have exact flow or pressure values but suffice to say that the performance appears reasonable for the power consumed. Electrical specs appear accurate. I am using these as hot water booster pumps to improve the pressure / flow in our gravity system and they do the job well. Reasonable value. Shipping was slightly longer than usual with these on both orders.
