Quality light that exceeded my expectations! I've read other reviews stating disappointment with observed output against specified output, and I can only say those users didn't read the instructions. Normal functions ramping or stepping up and down work smoothly as they should. When ramping up, once the light reaches maximum brightness, simply double click the button to enter to "turbo" function for maximum stated output. Just understand that any quality high lumen light like this generates a lot of heat at maximum output and can get hot on a bare hand, hence the built-in safety feature of automatically ramping down to prevent damage to the light. Use QUALITY high drain batteries and you'll enjoy a great, solidly built, and very bright light that should more than meet your needs.
