Received in a well cushioned box. Only had to use two screws to attach the engine to the base and then screw on the propeller. The propeller hub has a collet type attachment to the drive shaft. That presented a little bit of a problem. You'll need to take a pair of pliers and squeeze it down a bit before sliding it on the shaft so it has a snug fit. Tightening down the prop will finish squeezing the collet into a nice fit. The engine can run in either direction. In one direction, the prop will blow out the flame. In the other direction, the prop will draw the flame forward heating most of the tube. It runs great and makes for a nice little conversation starter.
