I'm on a mac with an Arduino Uno. After installing drivers (if necessary), you can talk directly to the wireless module through the green USB dongle by bending (or snipping) the wireless module's EN, AUX, and SET pins. For whatever reason the dongle ties this pins in some way that keeps the Arduino IDE from talking to it. So just make sure those 3 pins aren't plugged in to the USB dongle, go to the Arduino IDE, select the correct serial port, and you should be able to type and read serial data without downloading some terminal app. tl;dr all you need is 5V, GND, RX, TX. Don't use the other 3 pins and everything will work out fine.

yo8aiv Hello, so what are you saying is that this actually does serial rs232 over wifi sort of 400mhz . arent there other modules whom do the same thing !! i would need something that can transmit >< receive rs232 uart over wireless. thx.
