The price being very low means it cannot be a a real loss buying it. Howether, it works better on some lenses than other. On the kit lens at 55mm focal lenght, it works fine and makes it a 110mm focal plus crop factor, meaning about 165mm focal lenght on a canon APS-C. Howether, do NOT buy it as a way to make a genuine tele lens more tele unless you are keen on lomography. It would make chromatic aberrations appears commonly. Anyway, if you actually like lomography yet not the film technology itself, you can transform the canon 55-250 into a 500mm that makes lomography holga lens looking pictures.
