It's OK if you leave it permanently strapped to your bike, but the back is just loose cardboard and the waterproofing seems to rely on the light being firmly strapped in place, stretching the rubber body onto the bike's tube. If you take it on and off frequently, I can't see it lasting long and it's definitely not waterproof when not strapped onto the bike. I got two and one was much brighter than the other.
