I bought this last year to try out airbrushing a few things I've 3d printed to make them visually more appealing. I didn't expect greatness for this price, so I was very positively surprised by this product. I've since bought a much more expensive Iwata Eclipse Airbrush, but guess what compressor I'm running that one on?
If your guess is "the little battery-powered compressor from this set" you are absolutely right, I can screw it on this little unit and it just works.
If you don't have good results with the airbrush in this set, here is three tips I learned over the last 4 weeks:
1) this brush wants to paint a bit more on the thin end, so adding some thinner is a good idea
2) the brush tends to get tip-dry, adding flow improver helps, but screwing of the tip cap and scratching the dry rests of the needle and tip between two layers of paint helps a lot
3) the description says the battery will last 20 - 30 minutes after 1 hour of charging - technically true, but as its not giving any warning signs (and will simply turn off), I recommend of not going over 15 minutes
